Homemade Bread

I've been on a homemade bread making kick lately. It all started with this bread on PW's site. Super easily and amazingly delicious. Then, I checked out The Bread Bible from the library. Whew! It was a world of education since I hardly have any experience making homemade bread. But I tried out the cinnamon raisin swirl from it today and it was worth the learning curve. The recipe made two loaves and I made one with raisins and one without. After only a few hours out of the oven, the first loaf was nearly devoured! All of us enjoyed it warm from the oven with apple butter.
So I think this bread making kick will last for a while. It's sort of addicting. Any good bread recipes or favorite bread cookbooks? Please share.

Your cinnamon bread looks fabulous and delicious. Well done! I've just posted three days worth of information on making whole wheat sandwich bread on my site if you want to check it out at the River Rock Cottage.

Oh yum! I need to check out that book.

P.S. I thought I saw you at the book signing last week! Is that random or what? I saw someone peak their head around the corner of the stairs and thought, 'that gal looks really familiar'. Then I see your pic w/Ree and I'm convinced it was you. My girls and I were there from 545p until 10p and we were even in the first few rows that got to go! Crazy, wasnt it?

we love homemade bread too!
I just made a triple batch of banana bread a few days ago - even though it's not "really" bread, I love it too! I posted the recipe on my blog.

You're bread looks awesome! Nothing better than homemade bread! I made sourdough bread for a while but then I let my starter die and I got out of the habit. Maybe I should make some soon.

we make beer bread all the time & use it for sandwiches or Freeland warms it up with butter & honey. Yummy!
