Muffin Tin Monday

I came across this absolutely adorable idea about a week or so and today we did it. It's called Muffin Tin Monday and a girl on this blog created it. What a fun and special lunchtime treat to look forward to at the beginning of every week!

The idea is to create a lunch to eat from a muffin tin. Every week there is a different theme. This week's was celebration/party. We just celebrated how much we love each other and are thankful for our family since we joined in at the last minute and I couldn't think of anything more specific.

My toddler Boo was thrilled when I presented his special lunch and explained our new little tradition. He gushed, "I love you, Mommy! Thanks for making this!" And I decided this little tradition is definitely a keeper.

It's such a simple idea and a great way to add something special to an otherwise ordinary Monday. I look forward to doing other educational themes with it too.

Our celebration muffin tin from today included: cornbread muffin, graham crackers dipped in frosting with sprinkles, dried fruit trail mix with chocolate morsels, ham skewer, carrot skewer, peaches and raspberries.

I'll try to post here and link-up to her blog every Monday with our muffin tin lunches. Hope you'll join in too!

It looks delicious! It is funny how such a simple concept can be so much fun (both for the little ones and the mommies lol.)
